Girls Swimming Defeats Seymour in Dual Meet

Seymour – Last night the Lady Devil’s swimming and diving team traveled to HHC rival Seymour for their first dual meet of the season.  The Devils won 123-62 by winning 10 of the 12 events for the night.

The Red Devils were led by:

Senior Kali Krace with a win in the 200 Medley Relay.

Sophomore Adeline Dixon with wins in the 200 Medley Relay and 500 Freestyle.

Freshman Rachel Walker with wins in the 200 Medley Relay, 200 and 400 Free Relays and the 100 Butterfly.

Sophomore Jacqueline Richard with wins in the 200 Medley Relay, 200 and 400 Free Relays and the 200 IM.

Senior Amber Leininger with a win in the 200 Free.

Junior Amelia Blankenbeker with wins in the 50 Free, 200 and 400 Free Relays.

Senior Lauren Kessinger winning the diving event.

Senior Elizabeth Browne with wins in the 100 Free and 200 and 400 Free Relays.

The 200 Free Relay of Elizabeth Browne, Jacqueline Richard, Amelia Blankenbeker and Rachel Walker broke a 9 year-old Seymour pool record.

The girls will be back in action next Tuesday when the host the annual Jeff High Girl’s Double Dual invitational.
