Boys Swim Team Dominates Tell City Relays

Jeffersonville High School – Keith Gast, Head Coach Swimming

Tell City – On Saturday the boy’s swimming and diving team traveled to Tell City for the annual Tell City Relay meet.  The boys dominated by winning 8 of 10 events.  The Red Devils outscored second place Jasper  by a score of 122-92.  (Mt. Vernon was third with 88).

Event champions for the Red Devils were:

Senior Evan Shive – 200 Medley, 400 IM and 200 Stroke Relays

Sophomore Kevin Gast – 200 Medley, 400 IM, 200 Stroke and 150 Breast Relays

Junior Michael Cain – 200 Medley, 400 IM and 200 Stroke Relays

Junior Ben Doss – 200 Medley, 400 IM, 200 Stroke and 150 Breast Relays

Senior Conner Gernand – 250 Free Relay

Sophomore Grant Hawkins – 250 Free,  200 Free, 150 Fly and 1000 Free Relays

Junior Jacob Stacey – 250 and 200 Free Relays

Junior Cameron Simcoe – 250 Free, 200 Free, 1000 Free and 150 Breast Relays

Freshman Tommy Beimrohr – 200 Free and 150 Fly Relays

Sophomore Marco Camacho – 150 Fly Relay

Freshman Levin Martin – 1000 Free Relay

Freshman Stephen Cain – 1000 Free Relay

 

Another TEAM effort – 12 different guys were relay champions.
The performance of the meet was by Evan Shive, Kevin Gast, Michael Cain and Ben Doss – the boys broke a 4 year-old meet record in the 200 Stroke Relay.

The girls will be home tomorrow night as they host the annual Double Duals Invitational and both teams will be home Thursday night as they host HHC rival New Albany.
