Jeff meets tough competition

The Lady Red Devils traveled across the bridge to compete against some top Louisville schools in the Coach Cooper Invite at St. X. Facing tough competition, the Devils finished seventh overall against nearly twenty teams that were present. Several members on the team put up high level performances, reaching season bests. Jhala Henry showcased the sprints with her stellar performance in the 400, running a season best of 58 seconds while placing second. Henry also placed second in the 200 and ran another season best of 25.49. Teammate Mariah Owens, a sophomore placed second in pole vault with a vault of 8-06. Hailey Lacy finished third in long jump, sixth in the 800 and popped off the mile relay team consisting of Kerrigan Young, Callista Tate, and Jhala Henry which placed third with their best time this season – 4:08.59.The team will compete at the Panther Twilight Invitational Friday in Elizabethtown.
