Girls Soccer Ties Olympians and Panthers

The Jeffersonville Lady Red Devils played the Columbus East Olympians on Tuesday (9/19) with the game ending in a 1-1 tie. After an early goal from the Olympians, the Lady Devils fought back to score an early second-half goal from freshman Laela Rudecil. Both teams had several chances to put another one away but finished with one goal each. This tie moved the Lady Red Devils to 5-2-1. 24 hours later, the Lady Red Devils were back in action against the Corydon Central Panthers. The game was scoreless going into halftime, but the Lady Red Devils came back shortly after half and senior Sian Rogers put one in the back of the net. The Panthers responded with one goal of their own, ending the game in a 1-1 tie and moving the Lady Red Devils to 5-2-2. The Lady Red Devils are back in action tonight against their rivals, the New Albany Bulldogs. JV will play one half at 6, with Varsity to follow.
