Indiana-Kentucky Challenge Results
In a field of nearly 20 teams, the Lady Red Devils finished fourth at the Indiana-Kentucky Challenge in Evansville where they scored 66 points. Evansville Bosse won the meet with 90.5 points, followed by Owensboro with 76 points and Gibson Southern who accumulated 70 points. With the beautiful weather, performances peaked. Several of the girls reached personal bests and it was pleasing to witness performances improve. Listed below are some of the meet’s highlights.
100:Chelsea Lewis, 6th, Jhala Henry 8th
200: Chelsea Lewis – 3rd
400: Hailey Lacy – 1st (set a meet record running 59.7)
100H: Nycia Ford – 5th
300H:Jhala Henry – 5th
4×200: Chelsea Lewis, Asia Williams, Olivia Robinson, Candea Smith – 5th
4×400: Hailey Lacy, Jhala Henry, Meghan Haas, Candea Smith -1st (set a meet record running 4:11.40)
4×800: Jayla Callens, Jazzmen Jefferson, Jaia Monroe, Daria Collins – 6th
PV: Cat Patton-3rd and Maddy Whiteman -5th
LJ: Candea Smith- 6th
SP: Nycia Ford – 2nd (broke meet record throwing 36-09 until another athlete out threw Ford’s record.
