On a hot & muggy Tuesday during a week where high school games and practices are being postponed and canceled throughout the area, it was a perfect day for friends, former players and family to join each other to honor a JHS Tennis Legend. Indiana Tennis Hall of Famer, Mark Reilly was the man of the hour as the official ribbon cutting took place at the Mark Reilly Tennis Center on the campus of an ever evolving Jeffersonville High School at the Ralph Scales Athletic Complex. Jeffersonville Mayor Mike Moore, GCCS Superintendent Mark Laughner, Greater Clark County School Board President John Buckwalter, Jack Reilly (Mark's son) and current JHS boys and girls tennis head coach Jerid Inman highlighted the afternoon by sharing their thoughts on the facility as well as great appreciation for all of those who had a hand in building the program and the new facility. Following the ribbon cutting all of those in attendance were invited to take self guided tours of the facility. The 12 court complex is the tennis jewel of southern Indiana and quite possibly the nicest facility in the entire state. Designed by Jamie Lake of J. Lake Architecture & Design and built under the guidance of CORE Construction the state of art facility is a sight to behold. It is a great asset to the JHS Tennis program and to the City of Jeffersonville.
