Jeffersonville Wrestling put together an impressive weekend at the Fern Creek Gladiator Duals in Louisville, Kentucky, with both the Varsity A and Varsity B teams competing in the same 16-team varsity tournament and finishing second and fifth overall. After winning the event the past two seasons, the Red Devils were thrilled with the results, especially considering the youth across both lineups. The Jeffersonville Varsity A team finished runner-up with a 3–1 record, advancing to the finals with a convincing 46–24 win over host Fern Creek (KY). Jeff opened the day with a dominant 78–0 victory over Team Tiger and followed with a 78–6 win over Green County (KY) before falling to Evansville Reitz in the championship dual. The Varsity B team also delivered a strong performance, finishing fifth place with a 3–1 record in the same varsity field. Jeff B opened with a 47–36 win over DeSales, bounced back from a tough loss to Greenwood (KY), then defeated Shawnee 47–29 to secure a top-six finish. The day was capped by a thrilling 36–35 win over Green County, highlighting the grit and competitiveness of the young lineup. Individually, Jeffersonville saw several standout performances. For the Varsity A team, Quintin, Jaylen, and Chandler each went 4–0, while Tim, Elijah, Rudi, Gatton, Jak, and Gio finished 3–1. On the Varsity B side, Ari and Jaxon posted perfect 4–0 records, with Zayas, Cooper, and Tshimanga each going 3–1 on the day. Head coach Danny Struck was pleased with both the results and the direction of the program. “This is a great sign for us at this point in the season,” Struck said. “We’re very young, but you can see the growth happening right now, and that’s exciting.” Struck also emphasized the importance of depth and competitive experience. “We’ve won this tournament the last two years, but having both our A and B teams place in the top five of a 16-team varsity tournament says a lot about our program. Our kids competed hard all day.” With momentum building, Jeffersonville now turns its focus to Sunday’s 28-team individual tournament, looking to continue its rise as the season moves into a critical stretch. “It’s good to see us rising at the right time of year,” Struck added. “The effort, the fight, and the belief in each other is really starting to show.”
