The volleyball team knew that Saturday was going to be a tough battle all day long. Having already faced rival New Albany, and knowing they would draw 2A #4 Brownstown, and eventually led to a crossover against 1A #1 Tecumseh, they were going to have to fight all day... which they did. Despite a 0-4 finish on the day the Red Devils improved and showed a lot of fight. After claiming the first set off of New Albany to start the day 25-15, they just couldn't hold on the take the match, dropping the next two sets 23-25, and 11-15. A three hour layoff slowed the momentum for a biut against Evansville North 10-25, but again the Devils battles back and nearly forced a third set falling 22-25. Immediatly falling that match, the Devils took on perrenial state finalist Brownstown in a highly competive match that left Coach Shade of Braves very complimentary of the effort and fight of the Red Deivls. 18-25, 17-25. The last match of the day saw the Red Devils take on 1A #1 Tecumseh, who was fast out of the gate and offensviley too fast for the Devils after being in three grueling matches prior. 15-25, 18-25.
