In the Regional Semi-finals. The Red Devils faced off against the Highlanders. This match had the makings of a thriller as it always does. At 1 singles Eli Cochrum battled and competed well but Floyd's game was simply too much. They took the match 6-1, 6-1. At 2 singles, Matthew Lowe came out very patient against his very tough opponent and took a 3-1 lead. Floyd however upped their level and didn't lose another game, taking the match 6-3, 6-0. Just 2 weeks ago, Teddy Burnette put up a great fight at 3 singles and narrowly lost. This time however, Floyd changed up their gameplan and really came to play, taking the match 6-1, 6-1. At #1 doubles Ryan Crawford and Javier Gomez earned the lone win of the day in a thriller, coming back from a set down, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2. At #2 doubles Quinn Lemon and Ben Eiten played a tremendous first set and narrowly losing 6-7(5). In the second set Floyd gained a lot of confidence and came out hot, taking the match 6-2 in the second set. The season for the team comes to an end with this loss, however our #1 doubles team advances as individuals and now faces off against North Harrison tomorrow 6pm at Mark Reilly Tennis Center
