Jeffersonville played spoiler on Senior Night for F. J. Reitz, using a late rally to slide past the host Panthers. The Red Devils came out strong, cruising to a 25-14 first quarter lead. Reitz was able to slowly cut the lead to eight at halftime thanks in part to freshman, Jaylan Mitchell. Jeffersonville settled in to hang tight with Evansville Christian. A rocky third quarter allowed Reitz to jump ahead but thankfully for the Red Devils, massive bench contributions from Gilly Polk and Ray Laird helped seal the victory in overtime, 74-70. Michael Cooper led Jeff with 14 points. Tre Singleton and Douglas each added 12 and 11 points, respectively. Jeff’s last regular season matchup comes Friday, February 23rd where they host Castle.
