Loud, thunderous spikes rang out all night long in a match that had to eventually come to an end, and unfortunately that came by way of a reverse sweep with the host Olympians besting the Red Devils in the five-set thriller. Jeff came into the match with some obstacles they had to overcome. They had not played in two weeks with many teams not willing to schedule matches during the spring break period. Some players were coming back from injury for the Red Devils, and a big block was missing due to a spring break trip. However, that seemed to not deter Jeff as they took the first set 30-28. Using a new lineup and many players learning new positions on the fly, the team persevered to get the first set. The second set saw more of the same with players being added into new spots again, and the Red Devils found a way scrape across the finish line in set two 25-21. However, that luck ran out for the Devils. Columbus East stepped up their service game and kept Jeff unbalanced for the remainder of the match, along with making some tremendous saves that prolonged points that were surely winners. Columbus East swept the back three sets 19-25, 20-25, 11-15. Luke Stracener paced the Red Devils setting a personal and school record with 31 kills in the match. Joel Ramirez and Jordan Rogers both dished out 25 assists. Malachi Crowder was steady defensively with 16 digs to go a long with 50 receptions and a 2.3 passer rating.
