The freshman squad picked up their first victory of the year with a straight set win at Oldham County. After an incredible showing in the Big Four Tourney Monday night, they were able to keep the momentum going to pull out the 22-20, 21-11 victory. The JV team started slow in set one, and got down big in set two before a long run that nearly pushed the match to a third set. In the end they fell 11-21, 17-21. The varsity match started much of the same. Oldham's strong serving kept the Red Devils out of system, and they were unable to get any momentum in set one. However, the squad regrouped and was able to show a lot more focus and improved in many areas, but in the end Oldham just made a couple plays that sealed the deal to take the 13-25, 23-25, 20-25 victory.
