Jeffersonville JV Wrestling Shines at Jennings County Meet While Jeffersonville’s girls squad and Varsity boys teams gear up for their respective holiday tournaments this weekend—the prestigious Jeff Classic and Rumble in the Hive—the JV squad took to the mats Thursday night at Jennings County. Facing stiff competition from a variety of strong programs, the young Red Devils delivered an impressive performance that highlights the depth and promise of the program’s future. The event featured teams from Borden, Silver Creek, Jennings County, Franklin Central, Indian Creek, Madison, Charlestown, Scottsburg, and Bloomington North, offering the Jeffersonville JV wrestlers an excellent opportunity to test themselves against high-quality opponents. Standout Performances Several wrestlers put together outstanding individual performances: Angel and Brian Juarez, Jilian Alvarez, and Chandler Cooke each went undefeated, posting stellar 3-0 records on the night. John Steele and Elijah Lahrman also stood out, finishing with undefeated 2-0 records. Brendan Presley and Jose Garcia battled through tough matches to finish with solid 2-1 records. Additional Contributions Every match counts in developing a strong program, and several wrestlers picked up key wins: Jacob Perissi, Jesse Lajoie, Cooper Spaulding, Max Holder, Miguel Damon, and Dylan Grismer each secured a victory, demonstrating grit and determination in competitive bouts.
