Jeffersonville JV Wrestlers Shine at Hoosier Hills Conference Meet Jennings County, IN – The Jeffersonville junior varsity wrestling team put on an impressive display at the JV Hoosier Hills Conference (HHC) meet, hosted by Jennings County High School. Competing against tough programs from Floyd Central, Bedford North Lawrence, Columbus East, Seymour, New Albany, and Jennings County, the Red Devils showcased their depth and determination. Jeffersonville brought the largest group of JV wrestlers to the event, a testament to the program’s growing numbers and commitment to development. The coaching staff was thrilled with the team’s performance, emphasizing the major improvements in attitude, effort, and fight throughout the season. Several Red Devils delivered standout performances, with Cooke, Rose, Brooks, Lahrman, and Northern going undefeated at 3-0. Alvarez and Peterson finished strong at 2-0, while Carr, Hayes, Juarez, Santo, Sherman, and Edmundson all posted winning records. Additionally, many wrestlers fought hard to secure at least one victory, showing resilience and growth in their matches. Zayas, Pressley, Damian, Howard, Sunkit, Olivera, Spaulding, and Edmundson each picked up a win, proving that their hard work in practice is paying off. “We’re really proud of the entire group,” the coaching staff said. “From our undefeated wrestlers to those who battled for their first wins, everyone showed heart and improvement. Having the largest group here shows how committed our team is to getting better.” With such a deep and determined squad, the future of Jeffersonville wrestling looks bright as these young Red Devils continue their journey toward varsity success.
