Former Red Devils boys basketball head coach Mike Broughton will soon be inducted into the Indiana Sports Hall of Fame. Per the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame...... Broughton a 1973 Hebron HS grad, scored 1,018 career points and helped his HS team win their first sectional in 19 years…named 1st team Academic All-State…a starter & season assists leader at Indiana Wesleyan College…a 21-year varsity head coaching career with a record of 350-145…his teams won nine sectionals, five regionals, three semi-states & his 1993 Jeffersonville team won the state championship…from 1990 to 2000, his Jeffersonville teams won more games (210) & had the highest winning percentage (83.7%) of any program in the state… voted 1993 Indiana H.S. coach of the year & tabbed as the 1996 Indiana All-Star Head Coach…was assistant coach at Univ. of Nebraska, & head coach at Southern Nazarene University, where he had three 20-win seasons & two national tournament appearances.
