Monday - April 3rd, 2023 Having spent the last two weeks on spring break our Red Devil teams are back in the classroom for the final 9 weeks of the school year and they are hitting the ground running! All of our spring sports teams will be in action at least twice each this week. Track and Field will have home meets Monday and Thursday against Providence and Columbus East respectively. Boys Golf will finally get to open their season with new head coach Harrison Paul (JHS Alum). They will square off against Providence on Tuesday and wrap up the week Saturday at the Floyd Central Invite. Girls Tennis will open up their season with first year head coach Jerid Inman (JHS Alum) as they will host Seymour on Tuesday and Columbus East on Wednesday. The tennis program is anxiously awaiting the opening of the new Mark Reilly Tennis Center. The courts themselves should be available in a couple of weeks while the new building will open by late May. Our emerging sport of boys volleyball will see action three times this week with a match at New Albany on Tuesday and at Silver Creek on Thursday. They will wrap up the week on Saturday by hosting the Inferno Invite. Scheduled to play in the Inferno Invite are Marinsville, New Albany, Scottsburg and Silver Creek. Our baseball team will be very busy this week. The JV team will play Monday, Tuesday and Friday against Charlestown, Providence and Silver Creek while the Varsity team will travel to Floyd Central on Tuesday and wrap up the week with a double dip at Columbus North on Saturday. Finally our softball JJV & V teams have a busy schedule as well. Tuesday our varsity team will travel to Salem then both the JV & V will play at Jennings Co. on Wednesday and then wrap up the week Saturday at Seymour.
