FOUR JEFFERSONVILLE WRESTLERS QUALIFY FOR NATIONALS IN FARGO Jeffersonville, IN — July 12, 2025 Four Jeffersonville wrestlers have punched their tickets to the most prestigious high school wrestling tournament in the country: the U.S. Marine Corps USA Wrestling 16U and Junior National Championships, held annually in Fargo, North Dakota. Simply known across the wrestling world as “Fargo,” this tournament is considered a rite of passage for elite wrestlers, college hopefuls, and even future Olympians. Representing Jeffersonville this year are: • Siyour Miniggia (190 lbs, 16U): A sectional runner-up and rising sophomore, Siyour earned his spot by placing in the top 6 at the Central Regionals. Known for his power and grit, this marks his first appearance at Fargo. • Jaylen Howard (150 lbs, 16U): Jaylen secured his trip to nationals with a 2nd-place finish in Greco-Roman at the ISWA State Finals. He will compete in both freestyle and Greco-Roman divisions. • Jak Rose (180 lbs, 16U): Jak placed 3rd in the Greco-Roman state finals to qualify and will also battle in both styles. He’s known for his aggressive, nonstop pace on the mat. • Ben Land (Junior Division): A recent Jeffersonville graduate and Bellarmine University commit, Ben is making his third trip to Fargo. He is a multiple-time ISWA state champion in freestyle, Greco-Roman, and folkstyle. This year, he took 2nd in Greco and 3rd in freestyle at state. He has reached the All-American round before and is laser-focused on breaking through this year to claim the coveted All-American status. Head Coach Danny Struck, in his 24th year serving as an ISWA State Coach Director, will once again join Indiana’s national coaching staff in Fargo. “I’m proud of these kids for taking up the challenge. This is where the best of the best come to compete. It’s the biggest recruiting ground for college coaches, and a proving ground for our sport,” Struck said. The Jeffersonville athletes have been preparing all spring and summer, logging 30–40 matches each leading up to the event. They completed a five-week training cycle focused on strength training, conditioning, and technical refinement. The cycle culminated in a team camp before the group departed on July 11 for a three-day acclimation and training period in North Dakota. Competition kicks off shortly after, with each wrestler aiming for one of wrestling’s most iconic trophies — the All-American Stop Sign — awarded to the top eight finishers in each weight class. The team returns on July 20, and whether they return with hardware or not, they’ve already proven themselves among the nation’s elite. — For more information about the Jeffersonville wrestling program or ways to support their journey, contact Coach Danny Struck or follow the team’s progress on social media
