From Jeffersonville to the World: Coach Struck Publishes New Book of Wrestling and Life Adventures Jeffersonville High School is proud to announce that long-time educator and wrestling coach Danny Struck has released a new book chronicling his journey through coaching, travel, and personal growth. Titled Climbing for Gold, the book is more than a collection of stories—it’s a testament to how a small town, a powerful sport, and a lifelong passion for mentorship can shape a global adventure. Coach Struck has spent over two decades at Jeffersonville, helping build one of the most respected girls and boys wrestling programs in the state. But his influence has reached far beyond the walls of our school. His roles with USA Wrestling have taken him to 48 states and over 30 countries on six continents, working with Olympians, national champions, and world-level athletes. His book takes readers along for the ride—from wrestling mats in Indiana to the streets of Japan, the mountains of Colombia, the ancient cities of Turkey, and beyond. “This book isn’t just about wrestling,” says Struck. “It’s about what wrestling teaches us: how to battle through adversity, appreciate every opportunity, and grow as human beings.
