Red Devil Softball wins at Brownstown on Saturday

Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils defeated Brownstown Central 6-2 on Saturday. In the first inning, Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils got their offense started. Brookelyn Miles hit a solo homer. Bailey Shafer led things off on the rubber for Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. The bulldog went seven innings, allowing two runs on nine hits and striking out four. Rylee May was in the circle for Brownstown Central. The pitcher allowed seven hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one. Rylin Huddleston threw two and a third innings in relief. Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils hit one home run on the day. Miles had a long ball in the first inning. Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils scattered eight hits in the game. Aubrey Cannon and Shafer each racked up multiple hits for Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. Shafer and Cannon all had two hits to lead Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. Brownstown Central racked up nine hits in the game. Kelsey Schneider, Huddleston, and May each had multiple hits for Brownstown Central. Brownstown Central was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Kyndle Huddleston made the most plays with six.
