May 17, 2023 - The Jeffersonville Girls track team fought to a runner up finish at last night's Madison Sectional. The Red Devils scored 106 points to 131 for the winning Charlestown Pirates. Several young ladies turned in season best performances and will be heading to the Bloomington Regional next Tuesday. Highlights of the night include: Alaysia James finishing 6th in the 100 Hurdles with a new PR of 17.63 seconds; Mariah Smith 2nd and KeiAsia Camp 4th in the 100M; Arielle Phillips 2nd in the 1600M; the 4x100 relay team of Marly Jones, Dakota Sims, KeiAsia Camp and Mariah Smith 1st; Mariah Smith 1st and Alaysia James 2nd in the 300 hurdles; Marly Jones 2nd in the 200M; 4x400 relay team of Marly Jones, Arielle Phillips, Alaysia James and Dakota Sims 2nd; Sian Rogers 4th in the Pole Vault with a PR of 7' 0"; Mariah Smith 1st and Arielle Phillips 4th in Long Jump and Kaylea Beauchamp 4th in shot put.
