On Friday August 25th, 2023 Jeffersonville High School will officially dedicate its football field as it is renamed, Bill Ware Field. Coach Bill Ware served for nearly 20 years as the school’s football coach. He was hired in 1981 as the head football coach for Jeffersonville High School, and he served as coach until 2000. In his tenure as coach, the team had 100 career wins and won three sectional championships. He also coached 150 football players who later competed at the collegiate level, along with two players who made it to the National Football League. Many of his former players have also gone on to become coaches. One of those players is current Red Devil head football coach, Isaac Parker. There will be a meet & greet set up at the field prior to the dedication. 5:30pm Meet & Greet 6:45pm Field Dedication 7:00pm Game vs. Seymour At halftime we will honor Jeffersonville High School Scholar students. All students who finished the semester with a 3.5 GPA will be recognized at halftime.
