10/25/25 Evansville, IN - A perfect morning to run did not end as hoped for the Red Devils. On arguably the fastest of all the Regional courses, none of the devils were able to advance to next week's state finals. The boys hit the course first. Seniors Ari Santos Moore and Larry Lucio both fought early setbacks that relegated them to back of the field. Ari was fighting congestion and struggling to fill his lungs with air and Larry caught an early side cramp that never eased. Sophomore Brendan Basham continued to show promise with a solid run. She would make the first female devil to represent at State in over 10 years. It would take the best run of her career to do it, but she had been running close to that all year. In the end, she fell short as many runners from other schools all ran their best race of the season, leaving Anabelle on the outside. Freshman Charlie Schneider continued her surprising season by turning in another personal best run. Anabelle Hertweck 21:31.84 98th Keira Jackson 22:26.01 146th PR Charlie Schneider 22:52.86 173rd PR Liz Gonzalez 24:07.61 214th The Devils take a break before returning to their home track on November 7th for their annual 24 hour relay.
