Meet Recap

In the first round of sectional play, the Red Devils drew a short-handed Clarksville. The Generals only have 3 players, so they had to forfeit both doubles courts.

At first singles, Libby West played a very good opponent, putting in one of her best matches to date. The match couldn’t have been any closer, but she weathered a last ditch effort by the Clarksville player to pull out the victory.

At third singles Katie Gernand was in control for most of the match. She showed exceptional maturity for a sophomore while maintaining the momentum to close out the match

1S. Libby West (J) d Jennifer Goldman 7-6 (7-2), 7-5
