First Time @ 5-0 Since 1992….Was It The White Socks?

Was it Coach Oldham’s no-nonsense intensity? Was it the team’s focus on “Everybody” versus themselves? Was it the team’s pre-game work (see pictures)? Was it simply the change from the traditional JHS black socks to the old-school white socks? It may have been a little of all of the above, but it definitely was completely

Please enjoy a few pictures from our pre-game ritual with pictures of select players in their own “view from the top” poses! But to be sure, we don’t look down on anyone ……. figuratively at least! JEFF has not opened a season 5-0

First Home Game: Preparation Paid Dividends

The JHS Varsity Football team focuses on every practice & every game.  Each coach and player take personal responsibility for their assignments.  All of this comes from working together as one unit.  Such teamwork begins on the field long before our fans show up. Each Friday afternoon before most of you arrive, the field is

Game 3 – First Home Game – JHS Showed Great Character

JHS Head Football Coach Lonnie Oldham believes in the values instilled & maintained by “family.” That’s why every varsity game begins with time spent together (away from the field) reinforcing a strong family feel: eating & talking together. Afterwards, the team reviews game strategies, alignments, assignments & execution. Maybe that’s why a 13-0 deficit never had
